Melanie BothaI want to do the Comrades 2011.  It will be my first attempt... do you think its wise to try my first comrades on an up run?  When the 2011 Don Oliver training programme comes out please let me know.  I'd like to see that I'm on track from now.  I can currently run a 10km under 60 minutes.  I have run a few half marathons over the last few years but I've never done a marathon or further.  Thank you!

Thea BothaThis will be my 4th Comrades and I would really like to finish under 11 hours.
Zelna BlackI ran my first 42km when I was 42 years old and completed a wonderful first Comrades that same year (before I was 89 km, oeps years old!)in 2010! It seemed like a good idea to get all the help I could and this website provided so much of the information and encouragement I needed. I am sticking to this winning formula for the 2011 Comrades and thank you for the continious inspiration.
Mary I'm so scared!
James BlackI missed the cut-off with a few minutes in 2010 and is going for it again in 2011. My goal is to successfully complete a "up" and "down" run. Will see from then on...

Nick StevensMy father passed away on 15 July 2010 after a long battle with cancer. He completed 9 Comrades Marathons and dreamt of earning his 10th and green number qualification. Throughout his illness he looked forward to running his tenth in 2011 as a cancer survivor, with me running along side him to earn my first. So now my priorities have changed, I'm not running my first Comrades in 2011 I'm running my fathers 10th.

Werner Jurgens I am making my commitment to train for my 1st silver medal in Comarades. Ambituous but I believe I can achieve it.
Jeannine ChristieI have 4 bronze medals and feel now is the time to go for a Bill Rowan.  The problem is that I have only had "bad" up-runs and FANTASTIC down runs.  I have done 4 Comrades all together.  It would be great if at least I could ENJOY the up-run.  It has always been pure suffering with the "up".
Cheryl WitteDid the down run for the first time this year (what an experience) and am SO keen to do the up run next year - thank you for all your sound advice (awesome website).
Bev MehlRus has 11 finishes and I hav 8 and we looking forward doing your training programme for 2011 as it worked well in the past.

Letitia Strauss I have decided the Comrades will be a good motivator for me, as I have always wanted to run it. My family members have run many Comrades and are assisting me in getting ready.  However, we all stay far away from each other and I need any assistance I can get! Would love to be part of this programme. I have already entered for the 2011 Comrades Marathon.  I would love to complete the race sub 11hours.

Louis CoetzeeI ran my first attempt this year, and only managed half way. Lack of training,  injuries and a lack of mental toughness were the main culprits in my spectacular faliure but I definitely will be fetching that medal in 2011.
Farieda WilliamsI would like to run comrades within 10h30, I am on a weight control diet and are aiming to lose a further 8kg.  I have started training for comrades and want to qualify at Winelands Marathon.  I have had some bad runs the last 3 years, last year suffering from flu before the race and a non finish this year, so I am on a mission, not doing so many races like before, but doing more quality workouts and runs. So watch out for me in 2011 Durban, I am ready for the challenge. I know I can do it, I have done it before.
Khinesh VallabhHere to make to commitment that i will FINISH the 2011 comrades marathon. Entered 2010 as my first run, but was pulled of 500 meters before the half way cut off due to time limits. Really hit be badly, and now i am back with a vengance :)
